My illustration for the Sunday Times was published this weekend on the cover of the Parent Power supplement. This is what it looked like.
This illustration was a pitch for a magazine editorial inspired by the cover of Gemma Bovery, a graphic novel by Posy Simmonds and one of my favourite writers and illustrators. This doesn’t have the punch Posy’s cover does because the lead has a shifty look in her eyes but I’ve always loved that crimson flash on danger on a deep blue background.
I’m really chuffed that I will now be working with creative production agency, Shop Around. Based in the Netherlands and the USA, they are far cooler than I could ever be. The fact that I used the work ‘cool’ says it all really.
